This group meets (on Wednesdays) in term-time and throughout most of the school holidays from 9.15 to 11.00 a.m. in All Saints' Church, Seagrave. It is for babies and any pre-school children along with their parent, grandparent or carer. It was started so that children and their parents could get to know each other before starting school; now people come along from surrounding villages as well as from Seagrave. There is a theme for each week based on a verse from the Bible; a short talk, singing, craft and refreshments are included.
Wednesday Club was highlighted by the judges of "Calor Village of the Year 2008" competition when selecting Seagrave as Winner in the "People" category.
One mum comments:
|
"I avoid sending my daughter to playschool on Wednesdays so that we can come along to Wednesday Club." |
Please note that everyone who works with young people is fully
